Not dead, just busy!
I will be abandoning this blog for a few months, as I am finishing up my graphic novel for HYMN (collaboration comic project with Christian).
For regular artwork posts, please check the HYMN website, or our Facebook page.

Figure Drawing at Harcourt
I went to Harcourt House last night for figure drawing. I stay for a half session every time, so I only get to do the quick poses. Here are some of the scans from the night:

I'm thinking of space
I have to admit that I've recently been pretty interested in space exploration. I even considered filling out an application for mars one (a project to send people to live on mars in 2023), until I read that it's a one-way trip. After deciding against mars one, I decided to feed my curiosity in a healthier way... I made an illustration.
Blog Blog Blog
My new year's resolution is to blog more. Apparently, my last blog post was around the time of our first annual HYMN book launch. Now, almost a year later (a few months away from the second HYMN Collection launch), I am writing the followup post. So ridiculous.
Anyways, here are some figure drawing images from the last few sessions in Edmonton (Harcourt House):

HYMN Book Launch
Christian and I started a graphic novel project in the last year called HYMN. This collaboration features independent and experimental short graphic novels that will be launched annually at comic conventions. This first launch will take place at the Calgary Expo (April 27-29) and will feature 2 books: The Floaters and Luska the Gypsy Puppet.
The initial idea behind this project was to create fully rendered graphic novels. Being artists and not writers, we wanted to make books where the interior pages are crafted with the same attention to detail as the cover art. We also wanted to experiment with more traditional media for all artwork in the books.
For more information, please visit out website, Facebook event, and group page. Below are images for the book release as well as my cover for The Floaters.
